"Casa María Matilda was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The house is beautiful, peaceful and thoughtfully designed, with a wonderful sense of connection to the landscape and surroundings. Everything feels considered without being overdone, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. We particularly loved the privacy, the beautiful outdoor spaces and the feeling of being immersed in nature. It was the perfect place to slow down, unwind and enjoy this extraordinary part of Oaxaca. The attention to detail throughout the property made the stay feel very special. The hosts were warm, generous and attentive, and we felt genuinely welcomed and very well looked after. We left wishing we could have stayed longer. A truly memorable stay and somewhere we would return to without hesitation. Highly recommended."

"What a wonderful stay we had. They accommodated 10 of us with no problem. The property is beautiful for entertaining large groups. Ricardo (Concierge) took great care of us prior to and during the trip. Nico was an amazing bartender! And the chefs made 3 delicious meals per day and accommodated to any food allergies/ dietary restrictions. Can’t say enough about how great our experience was!"

"This property is the most unreal place I’ve had the privilege to stay at. The architecture and attention to detail bring a beautiful cohesiveness to the stay (from the umbrellas, the pillows, the salt shakers). It’s beautiful to look at and live in. But the most special part about this property is the staff and pets included in the stay. Our host Patricia was super attentive and made sure my vision came to life when planning my birthday. The meals were perfectly paced and delicious. I not only will be recommending others to stay, I will also try to return."

"We would definitely stay here again. The house is unique and full of fascinating art and found items. The three bedrooms are all quiet and well appointed. The garden room ( shown in the pictures) is a very comfortable and light space to sit and relax and read. We had all the necessities. The house is very well kept, but is old. There was a problem with plumbing, but the CasitaMX staff got a plumber in the next day. The CasitaMX staff were very helpful. Didier in particular was a pleasure to work with. He was immediately responsive to all our multiple requests, including during his Sunday off, and sent us several useful lists of recommendation."

"La estancia estuvo muy a gusto. La casa es muy comfortable y tiene de todo para pasar un gran fin de semana. Mi única recomendación seria para la host Lupita mejorar la comunicación con los huéspedes. Por ejemplo: Al hacer check in tuvimos que nosotros marcarle y preguntarle y al hacer check out quedo de pasar a la casa y nunca llego, por lo que dejamos las llaves en el guardalocker de las llaves y le enviamos un mensaje para q supiera."
