In Waikuri — a language once spoken across Baja California Sur — the word for believe carries the weight of conviction. This house was built under exactly that premise: that desert and ocean set the terms, and architecture's role is to listen. Concrete, natural wood, and handcrafted materials were chosen not to impose but to belong — warm enough to feel like home, spare enough to let the landscape speak. Architecture and landscape don't need to fight each other.
The property is two independent houses joined by a shared concrete structure, each with its own rhythm and privacy, converging at the rooftop. The larger house holds two bedrooms on the first floor — both with king beds and private bathrooms — while the smaller offers a master suite plus a studio with a queen sofa bed, equally useful as a guest room or a quiet place to work. Both houses open onto a second-floor kitchen designed for real use: wooden cabinets, designer countertops, a generous island that doubles as a dining table, and everything needed to cook properly. Beyond it, a living room faces the sea — armchairs, large windows, books, board games, the kind of room that earns its hours.
The rooftop draws everything together. A saltwater pool (heated through winter), lounge chairs, a hammock, a grill, and an unbroken view of desert meeting ocean. Two bikes are available for guests at no charge. Parking on-site.
