Casa in Centro Histórico
San Miguel de Allende sits high in the Guanajuato hills, a colonial city of stone streets, pink-domed churches, and clear, dry light. Behind a plain door, the house quiets all of that down. The first thing you notice is water: a fountain runs somewhere out of sight, and its sound follows you through the gardens and into the rooms. The second is how slowly the place asks you to move.
The architecture works through thresholds. Rooms are approached rather than entered, across a bridge of volcanic stone laid over a planted pond, beneath a deep vault, up a staircase modelled on the ascent of an old monastery. Large concrete screens filter the sun into shifting patterns, and in two of the rooms a tree grows inside, so the light changes with the hours. Stone, concrete, plaster, and wood do the work. The gardens fill the spaces between.
Three of the four rooms have queen beds, each with its own bathroom, one reached over the stone bridge, another at the top of the monastic staircase with a sitting room and vaulted balconies hung with linen. The main suite is a world of its own. A private double-height staircase leads to a walled garden open to the sky, and both the bedroom and the bathing salon open fully onto it. There’s a king bed, a sitting room, a wet room, an ofuro for long soaks in the open air, and a private gym and meditation area.
Two shared gardens surround a swimming pool, with indoor and outdoor living and dining spaces so meals can move outside whenever the weather allows, which here is most of the year.
Mornings begin with breakfast, included in every stay, and taken wherever the house feels best that day.

The arrival to Náay begins with a volcanic stone bridge suspended above a lush pond. Within, a tree and the shifting light of a large concrete screen shape a space where nature and architecture dwell in quiet harmony.
Kuna
Reveals itself at the top of a private staircase inspired by ancient monasteries, a measured ascent that prepares the spirit for retreat. Light, filtered through vaulted balconies and linen curtains, lending the space into a serene atmosphere.
Zana
Accompanied by the sound of water, the room reveals itself beyond a volcanic stone bridge sheltered beneath a deep vault. Within, a tree and light filtered through a large concrete screen create an atmosphere of calm that shifts gently with the passing hours.
Múbú
A private double-height staircase and a large concrete screen prepare the way to an intimate garden framing the sky, to which both the room and bathing salon open completely. Here, nature and architecture meet in a delicate balance of light, shadow, and silence.
