Zen Casita in Valle del Bravo
Brutalist house inspired by Japanese architecture located on the outskirts of Valle de Bravo. This home is not your average house — built as a space for contemplation, to feel the element of light, including in a metaphorical sense. That's why it's called Casa Andón, which means "lantern" in Japanese. The home is full of art and simplicity.
The pool is natural spring water, unheated. The copper tub is an onsen with no pump — all water is natural and filtered on site. Service staff and 24/7 security guard included.
The house is a window into the trees and has no curtains — it's intentionally open. Stairs must be climbed to access it. Toilets should not be used to flush paper. There is no TV.
Guests have access to the whole house. Stairs are required to get around. The house is delicate and unconventional. No smoking.
The pool is fresh spring water that flows continuously and is not heated.

Valle de Bravo is a picturesque lakeside pueblo mágico known for its cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, paragliding, and weekend getaways from Mexico City.
It's roughly a 2.5-hour drive west from Mexico City (about 150 km), typically via the Toluca–Valle de Bravo highway.
