Casa Cabana

My space is located in the rural area of the city of Paraty, on the road Paraty-Cunha (Route 165). It is a modern house, well equipped and well-integrated with Nature, nestled in a piece of the Atlantic rain Forest, in the National Park of Serra da Bocaina, 10km from the center of the historical center of Paraty. There is waterfalls with crystal-clear natural swimming pool, with private access, jungle gym, sauna, trails in the forest, therapeutical therapies and you can order nice local food.

The space

Inspired by the design of an indigenous cabin, the house features a single curved roof that shelters a wide and extremely comfortable 176 cm bed, created by joining two twin beds with a special union topper, ensuring the comfort of a true queen-size bed.
The configuration can be adjusted according to the guest’s preference:
one large double bed or two separate twin beds.
The space also includes a trundle bed, a wardrobe, a sofa and a pouf, a large kitchen counter with a desk area, and a bathroom separated by a dividing wall for added privacy.
Glass doors connect the interior to the surrounding forest. Fruit trees grow alongside native species in a sustainable agricultural system known as agroforestry.
Colorful birds of all kinds sing and move through the forest, and a large, clear river runs through the property, forming waterfalls and natural pools.
Access to the first waterfall, about 400 meters away, is via the marked trails.
Regular cars reach the cabin with ease, and there is a private parking area with an electric vehicle charging station.

Guest access

Aldeia Rizoma is nestled in the mountains of Paraty, along the Paraty-Cunha road, about 15–25 minutes from the historic center. Guests have access to the house and common areas of Aldeia Rizoma, including the gym, waterfalls with natural pools, trails, agroforestry, forest temple, and sauna (fee not included). There are also optional therapeutic, ecological, and astronomical experiences. The property, located in a private condominium, offers comfort and safety amid nature. (The house is located within the Atlantic Forest — encounters with wild and venomous animals may occur. Walk carefully, keep dogs on a leash, and wear closed shoes and use a flashlight at night.)

Other things to note

The houses at Aldeia Rizoma combine comfort, sustainability, and technology, designed by Atelier Marko Brajovic with a minimal carbon footprint. Water treatment systems, including biodigesters, and the rational use of energy reflect the Aldeia’s strong environmental commitment. Powered by solar energy and connected to the electrical grid, the houses also feature an automatic generator. They have gas-heated showers, water sourced from a local spring, Starlink internet, and 220V power supply (110V outlets are clearly marked). The sauna can be used by prior scheduling and has a fee of R$ 280; the waterfall and gym are common-use areas. Small pets are welcome, with an extra fee of R$ 250. For check-ins after 8 p.m., there is a R$ 210 fee, and after midnight, a R$ 350 fee applies. Because the property is located in a rural area, the presence of insects is common. The house is for accommodation purposes only — photo shoots, filming, or commercial use require a contract and prior payment. Any damage to items may result in an additional charge.
