Floating Home in Santa Teresa
Perched above the jungle canopy near Playa Santa Teresa, this house reads as architecture before it reads as a place to sleep. Designed by Benjamin García Saxe, it unfolds as a series of light, cantilevered volumes that appear to hover above the hillside, oriented toward uninterrupted views of the Pacific. A saltwater infinity pool extends the sightline further still, its edge dissolving into ocean and sky at dusk.
Inside, three bedrooms and three bathrooms accommodate up to seven guests across an open, breeze-through plan built for the tropics, with a full kitchen, a dedicated workspace, and dual connectivity (300 Mbps plus Starlink) for those who move easily between work and rest. The house runs on solar power, part of the sustainable thinking built into its design from the start. Santa Teresa's beach sits a five-minute walk down the hill, close enough for a pre-dawn surf check, far enough to keep the property's elevated calm intact.
