Jungle Cabin in Paraty–Cunha road

Set high above the treeline inside a gated eco village in the mountains above Paraty, this brand new one bedroom studio watches over the forest canopy from a king bed built up at treetop height. The property sits along the Paraty-Cunha road, roughly 15 to 25 minutes from the historic center, and guests move freely through its trails, five private waterfalls with natural pools, forest temple, and gym, with sauna access available for a separate fee.

The studio itself is compact but complete: a fully equipped kitchen, a private hot tub with forest views, and a firepit for cooler nights up in the mountains. A wall of storage divides the sleeping area from the kitchen without closing off the sense of openness that runs through the house. Up on the rooftop deck, a small seating area catches the afternoon light, good for reading or a slow drink before dinner. An extra bed can accommodate a third guest for an additional nightly fee.

Designed by Atelier Marko Brajovic with sustainability built into the architecture rather than added onto it, the house runs on solar power backed by an automatic generator, spring-fed water, gas-heated showers, and Starlink for connectivity. Outlets run at 220V, with 110V points clearly marked. Because the property sits inside the Atlantic Forest, encounters with wildlife, including venomous species, are part of living here: closed shoes, a flashlight after dark, and leashed dogs are the practical response, not a warning to be alarmed by. Insects are a fact of rural life in this setting.

A few logistics worth knowing ahead of time: the sauna runs R$280 with advance booking, small pets are welcome for R$250, and check-ins after 8pm carry a R$210 fee, rising to R$350 after midnight. The house is for accommodation only, photo or film shoots require a separate contract, and any damage to the property is charged accordingly.
