Resort House in Soliman Bay

Soliman Bay sits just north of Tulum, a small, reef-sheltered cove where the water stays calm and clear and the jungle grows almost to the sand. It's a short drive from town and feels further. The hotel faces the bay directly, ten suites arranged around a single beachfront property that is only ever booked by one group at a time.

That's the idea behind it. You get the service and structure of a boutique hotel with none of the strangers. A resident kitchen and an open-air restaurant run from morning through dinner, the bar stays open through the day, and the staff answer to your group alone. Up on the roof, two firepits look out over the Caribbean, and evenings tend to end up there once the light starts to go.

The suites aren't identical, and it helps to know how they differ before the rooming list comes together. Four face the ocean head-on. Two have a partial ocean view, with roughly a third of the outlook taken up by the building in front. The remaining four face the jungle, trading the blue for a wall of green. Most groups find that sorting out who goes where is part of the planning, and every suite shares the same beach, rooftop and table.

The house sleeps twenty comfortably and can take up to twenty-four. There's one television, and it's in the bar, which is mostly where people want to watch something together anyway. The hotel opens for its first season in November 2026, so everything will be brand new, and the team will be settling into the house alongside its first guests.
